As it is #womenshistorymonth we have not only the Mermaid but also Cheryla Anne Forster, C4 helping us through this first week of March. The weather is warmer (hopefully for a while) and so are Our Capitals.

To begin this month's celebration we start by going over the mission of the Professional Womens Hockey Players Association and what they stand for.

We then go over the two games played and also C4's visit to Buffalo for last weekend's game there. We also go over all of the deadline deals that were made and how the Caps may fare. Several of our loyal listeners gave their opionions beforehand and posted queries about the team's immediate future and we address those as well.

It's going to be a crazy ride these last few weeks of the season---hold on tight and enjoy the ride!

With the Mermaid taking some time off and the end of Black History month approaching for 2023, we welcome longtime Caps fan Lorenzo Robinson of HLR Courier and Shuttle to help us out with covering the last week's worth of games. And oh what a mess we have to sort out....

Our Washington Capitals have been on a terrible skid lately and with the trade deadline fast approaching, they have already made a drastic decision--with more likely to come. Lorenzo and I discuss the past four games (1 win three losses) as well as the options that lay before the team that will affect the long and the short term fortunes of the team. Lorenzo also discusses some difficulties he has experienced with being a season ticket holder.

It was a brutal week for Our Capitals including a disappointing loss at the Stadium Series game last night. Anna and I and our special guest Dwain Thomas go over all three games during the week.

Dwain is a Black hockey fan who shares his experiences growing up in the area and falling in love with hockey through friends and family.  As with all fans of the Washington Capitals we welcome his unique perspective on the team and on the athletic experience in general.

Our Washington Capitals are finally back to playing hockey....but not at a level to brag about. We are also back to our regular podcast format for the time being to cover the latest doings.

The team appears to be rapidly approaching another crossroads tot he season. Without much urgency they are in danger of missing the playoffs. At the time of the recording they came off a very disappointing effort against one of the League's worst teams. There is very little we have to say that could be considered positive. You have been warned.....

The Mermaid is back as we put 2022 in the rear view mirror for good.

It was a 2-0-1 week for the Caps and we record right after the Caps dominating win over the Candiens. The "1" is our feature game and  we have a "special" message for those who blame the goalie for that loss. :P
