So due to an unfortunate series of scheduling conflicts, the PPP finds itself hosted in the familiar confines of our excellent podcast content partners the Sports on the Hill Podcast
Our friend Robbie Gross acts as Producer and ably assists in a unique segment involving a video replay....unfortunately for the purposes of this edition, you'll have to rely on our dulcet tones describing the action.
We go over the qualities of this young(er) Washington Capitals team in this young season. Suffice to say they are still finding their footing, but there are signs that they may well be on their way to success in the future. Stay tuned!

Curtain is finally going up on the NHL season here in the DMV!
Ok, so it wasn't much of a game. But as usual Anna and I have you covered.
But not before we go into a horrible piece of technology---the NHL app. HOw badly does it eat rocks? Let us count the ways. Also a bit of commentary on the options for watching games including the new Monumental Sports app.
The highlight of the week though was my visit to the Pherm Brewing Company where and event hosted by Locker himself, Craig Laughlin for the benefit of the Laughlin Family Foundation. As we've mentioned in seasons past, this show is dedicated to those who, past present and future, are dealing with cancer.

Anna and I are back!
We begin another season by reintroducing ourselves and telling Caps Fandom who and what we're all about. Plus I have a message regarding how things will go for this season regarding this podcast's activities. Some of you may not be happy. A lot of you may not be happy. But please know that we're not happy until you're not happy about our making you not happy.
And of course we give a preliminary assessment of this year's Washington Capitals based on what we've seen in the preseason. Keep your eyes on this team because while they may not be contenders, they will be an entertaining team to watch.

In this special Holiday edition of the podcast we are hosted through our fabulous content partners the Sports on the Hill Podcast. Robbie Gross joins us again to go over a sad week in Caps hockey as the team was officially eliminated from this year's playoffs. We complete a recap of the two games played during the week---two different efforst levels, same result....sadly. The three of us also go over what can be expected as far as possible offseason moves for the team.

April is starting off with a thud as Our Caps come ever closer to officially missing the playoffs. To ease the pain, we call on Laura Bach and John Blackburn otherwise known as that Rockin' Caps fan combo The CAPtasTROHPIES.
If you're not familiar with their work, you should be. They are the super awesome duo that posts the song parodies on Twitter (@captastrophies) whenever one of Our Caps scores a goal.
They tell their stories both on how they became fans of hockey and of the Caps as well as the adorable (Yes, dammit! We do adorable sometimes here!) story on how they met. They also give a bit of a peek behind the curtain and talk about their creative process as well as their work lives.
Speaking of which, Laura describes her work with the Gaithersburg branch of Fleet Feet which helps with a specialized outfitting process to provide optimum footwear for active lifestyles. They are a supportive (pun intended) business in the DMV, their mission statement is below:
