Anna and I are each under the weather so our apologies...
Thanks to all who gave their time to answer our call to send reviews to Apple Podcasts as we are now 9 reviews strong all at 5.0!
Anna and I tried to keep this short given our health issues....and you see how well THAT worked out. We go over the ins and outs of the three games played and focus on a few players who may or may not be deserving of ice time (spoiler alert if you like Bingo, 79 is good, 65 not so much).
Thanks to listener Don Maclaren we stumble into our first attempt to cover how things are going in Chocolate Town. Don was gracious enough to provide his report from the last several games' worth of action from the Bears...due to time constraints however I'm not sure we did it justice. But we do hope to make it a regular part of the show.

Anna and I discuss the recent goings on first off then on the ice with Our Washington Capitals. The recent Dulles Expo yielded a good time for all who attended, especially my co-host who came away with some nice pics. These can be seen at our Facebook page.
Then we get into some actual hockey. It was an up and down week to say the least. Game recaps along with our one-of-a-kind breakdown of the action. Plus a quick preview of the next few games.

But first we discuss what was a disastrous (not for me) and disappointing (again not for me) visit to see Lord Stanley's Cup in good old Hershey, PA. OK so for me there was some bad and even ugly....but not where it mattered most.
Phone lines opened with most of that story told when Anna's good friend and Caps' fan Rachelle Wilcox callss in and shares her timely observations on a variety of topics including:
The Tom Wilson suspension
The Lars Eller mugging by Ratface Marchand
The Banner Raising on Opening Night
And finally I close the episode with a request for good vibes for an ailing fellow Caps fan, Rebekka Thomas. This tough young lady has been through a lot in recent months and her health has suffered because of it. But not being one to need pity, she only needs the positive energy as we at the PPP can provide...so let's show her that real Caps fans stick together!

Our Washington Capitals are about to begin their 45th season...as the DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!
Before we get into our hopes for 2019 however Anna and I are forced to discuss recent events. The one concerning a certain player who wears #43. The tone of this discussion just might surprise you. The hell with that---it WILL surprise you.
In addition we talk about other issues facing the team over the course of the season. There is also the matter of the final roster, which has some new additions including one that will make fans yodel. (No we don't discuss Dimirij Jaskin, that's for next week)
To end our first episode for 2018-19 we issue an invite to any and all listeners to the upcoming appearance of Stanley himself in Hershey this coming Sunday Oct. 7th...hope to see you there!

What has NOT been entertaining is the Caps' preseason play so far. More misadventures there to be discussed for sure. Also certain players we like, dislike and have not seen due to.....issues.

With the major hockey activity winding down and the summer heating up, Anna and I get together one last time to bid hockey adieu for the season. But fear not--we will be backcome traning camp.

The title says it all! Our Washington Capitals have captured Lord Stanley's Cup!
This episode airs in two parts. In Part One, Anna and I briefly recap the ridiculously exciting Game 5 Cup clinching efforts. We also go our separate ways in celebrating the Caps' historic win. One of us got to drink quite a lot of beer, the other listened to a lot of inappropriate music and came away with a bit of a sunburn. But both of us were overjoyed.
In Part Two, we are joined on an Uberconference call in segment by none other than the awesome Christian Levesque from the True Caps Fans Facebook group. He provides some sage perspective on how the Caps finally made it to the top as well as the meaning of the win for all of us fans.
My apologies for the lateness of this episode, this playoffs run has been both exhilarating and exhausting for both our Caps and we the fans and Anna and I certainly aren't exempt from that.
