The 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs have begun with Our Washington Capitals in the role of underdog against the President's Trophy winning Florida Panthers.
Last week's guest Jake Michael returns again to provide analysis of the Caps' efforts in the first three games. Our Caps have a 2-1 series lead, so the magical question is can they keep up the (mostly) great efforts so far? Tune in for more fan-involved coverage of our team!

Anna is off due to occupational obligations so I have invited North Carolina based Caps fan and Capitals Admin of the Freeze the Puck Hockey page on Facebook, Jacob Michael to join us.
To be honest it was something of a disastrous ending to the season for Our Washington Capitals with all four games resulting in losses. No, not exactly the way to head into the Quest for the Cup for sure. Jake and I break down the past games (well some of them anyway) and get into some soul searching discussions not the least of which being the Caps' chances to get out of the First Round (SPOILER ALERT---IT CAN BE DONE!) as well as open debate on the worst contract currently on the team.
Yes it's another long one but we at the Triple will always give you the most bang for the buck! Hang on tight fellow Caps fans, it's playoff time!

Buckle up folks this is long one!
So this is the downloadable version of a live meeting that was broadcast not only in Zoom but globally via Twitch. We decided to do a live collaboration with our longtime partners at the Sports on the Hill Podcast.
Our friend Robbie Gross manages the live broadcast and makes this recording possible in download format, we thank him kindly as always for his great assistance. With his help the Twitch broadcast has a link to a great charity in honor of Earth Day which is the Oceans Harmony organization. More information is below. Joining us on this special edition panel as well is Kasey Malone, who as you will hear will be crowned with his own show nickname!
Key topics: yes goalies (again, sheesh!) potential playoff matchups and lineups
You can donate here: https://donate.tiltify.com/+giving-in-harmony/giving-in-harmony2022 (Please put CapsPodcast in the Comments info so we know it is from this podcast and we will shout you out) and also learn more about them and get involved here: https://oceansharmony.org/ and let’s put our love for the ocean in motion!

Anna is back form Spring Break and the Caps are back to their...ways of delighting and frustrating their fans.
It was a 1-1 week (recording this early in deference to Easter as if you couldn't tell by the title) each game providing its own interesting review, give this a listen as we try to explain it all...
Stay tuned for announcements about our next episode! Be sure to catch Anna for Caps Talk on the Sports on the Hill Podcast Monday nights at 9 pm.

The Mermaid makes a brief cameo form Spring Break in this extended episode as we welcome back Grant Green and Cheryl Anne Forster both of the Capitals Society Facebook page.
It's a long one mostly due to the fact that there were four games to cover but also because we spend time (yes AGAIN) talking about the now rekindled "goalie controversy". Thank you so much, Coach! At least it was a winning week...
Be sure to catch Anna for Caps talk on the Sports on the Hill Podcast airing 9 pm Mondays on Facebook live and the TRU Radio network. Click the link for other methods of catching the show!
If you're one of the awesome ones downloading this episode and others, please do tell other Caps fans you know about us, ask them to download and subscribe TODAY!!!

The Boys are back!!
April begins with a roundtable style discussion featuring four fiercely passionate and knowledgeable fans of Our Washington Capitals. Ron Schronce, Doug Loosararian, Willem Bagchus and first timer Kasey Malone join the discussion now that we have reached the final stretch drive in the 2021-22 season.
Each one has their own unique perspective and knowledge set to offer as together we dissect a few issues of the day with the team. Yes goaltending is one of them dammit.
It runs somewhat long but trust me when I say you don't want to miss this one, lots of great analysis here!
Hit us up at our Facebook page if you want to be a part of a future episode and be a part of one of the best Caps hockey discussions going today!

In our final week's episode of Women's History Month Anna and I welcome popular Twitter Caps fan Fatou Bah of the Black Girl Hockey Club. Fatouh give her opinions on the Caps play this past week, which was literally down and up. Topics discussed include....yes goaltending again but also the trade deadline as well as Braden Holtby's homecoming as well as Nick Backstrom's apples.
This being the last week of the month I share a bit of trivia having to do with women in hockey. (Yes I know it was Elizabeth Graham, not Gardiner that made the history). Thanks to all, ladies and gentlemen for indulging us for this month.

Anna and I go into our third week for Women's History Month. Joining us this week is Amy Rothenberger, fellow Caps fan and co host of the Puck 'Er Up: A Hockey Podcast.
We begin with Amy introducing herself to our audience (I highly recommend her podcast if you are not already familiar) and then we go into our customary recap of the on-ice action. Side topics include the goalie situation, (yes again dammit!) trade deadline possibilities and injuries.
Amy also lends her thoughts on the women's pro game as well her experiences as a fan. Do not miss this episode!
Also be sure to catch Anna for CapsTalk on the Sports on the Hill Podcast Monday nights at 9 pm ET.

Betsy lends her voice with what (mostly) went right in this most recent Western Canada road trip, and also what went wrong and shares her thoughts about the women's game and being a female fan of the Caps.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: Next week we will record Saturday evening March 19th, please contact Anna or myself at our Facebook page.

This first show of March brings us to Women's History month and joining me this week to kick it off are Cheryl Anne Forster and Lynn Regert.
It was a much better week on ice for Our Washington Capitals, winning two out of three games. That doesn't necessarily mean all is well however and our guests adeptly point out the bad as well as the good from all three games. Our breakdown of each game includes an evaluation of several players as well as a final answer to the musical question...who should be the #1 goalie?
The final segment is devoted to examining Women's Pro Hockey and how to grow the game. We at the DMV got something of a taste of some of the world's best when the Secret Dream Gap Tour from the PWHPA visited Kettler Complex this weekend.
